Changmin was fine without a mate; he had been okay ever since he became a werewolf. But little did he expect his world to turn upside down when he finally met his mate.
Genre: Drama, Fluff, ot5 (Changmin-centric, Changmin/FOC, Yunjae, Everyone loves Junsu)
Omg yes I have completely neglected this blog and I feel really bad about it. To my defense, my laptop can’t seem to access wordpress unless I use incognito mode 😦 So for a period of time I switched over to tumblr (you can find my link here) but it doesn’t seem to be working out very well for me. Can someone please help me with this problem?
This chapter is a bit more of a filler chapter so I apologise for the slow updates! I am into the second half of the semester now and the workload is crazy :O I am so tired and usually I take the time on the bus or mrt to sleep or relax instead of updating my stories so updates will definitely be slower! Please understand 🙂
Comments and reviews are appreciated! 🙂
Transforming was never easy, even though it was a skill that came naturally to Changmin. But it was made easier by the comfort of the Alpha and his mate, as well as their own mates. Changmin could see Yunho and Jaejoong cuddling up to Junsu, who was whimpering slightly. He couldn’t help but stare at the Alpha’s impressive form.
Yunho’s Wolf has a coat of almond coloured fur, complemented by a pair of warm honey toned eyes. As Alpha, he was slightly bigger than the rest of the pack but it was his charisma and authority that amazed Changmin. Jaejoong gently walked beside his mate, burying his nose into Yunho’s fur, and Changmin could see how the pair complemented each other.
While Yunho was warm, Jaejoong’s fur was silky grey and he had a beautiful pair of ocean blue eyes. He was of slightly smaller built than Yunho, who in turn nuzzled his face into his mate’s fur. When they caught Changmin staring at them, Yunho gave him a small smile.
As Yunho gave the signal, the rest of the pack immediately took their places and began their journey. Changmin was one of the better fighters of the pack (“Since he has no other talent.” He could imagine Junsu rolling his eyes.) and was assigned to be the right flank. Yoochun was the left flank, his brother being the last and Junsu was in the middle. The Alpha always leads the pack and his mate is usually beside him.
The whole journey was uneventful, except for the one time when Yoochun got distracted by a mother duck and her flock of ducklings, causing him to lose track of time and not keep up with the pack. In the end, everyone had to backtrack to retrieve him and so the journey was slightly delayed. Changmin was grateful that none of the pack members chose to ask him why he was so distracted. Wolf was elated to be able to run freely with the pack, giving Changmin some much needed alone time to think.
‘Do you think I should speak to Siwon later?’ Changmin finally spoke after hours of silence.
‘Maybe.’ Wolf sighed. ‘This has dragged on long enough.’ Changmin knew that Wolf simply longed to be in company with their mate, but it was easier said than done. He had no idea how he was supposed to approach his mate to tell her about being a werewolf, or what to do with a human mate in general.
The pack arrived at Kangin’s at sunset, and the Marrock and his mate stood on the porch to welcome them. As Yunho bowed in respect, the rest of the pack quickly followed the Alpha’s lead. Changmin was relieved that they had finally arrived and was more than happy to shift back and relax his sore muscles. Stretching his body, Changmin collapsed onto the sofa. His stomach grumbled noisily and his face flushed red with embarrassment when Jaejoong chuckled.
“I’ll go make some dinner for all of us.” The eldest member ruffled Changmin’s hair before heading to the kitchen. He noted the absence of the Alpha as the rest of the pack rested in the living room.
“Where’s Yunho?” Changmin nudged the body next to him.
“Talking to Kangin. Apparently, the situation seems worse than we thought.” Yoochun’s head popped up and he looked grim. Seeing the youngest’s worried expression, Yoochun immediately broke into a huge grin and ruffled his hair. “I’m sure it’ll be fine. Yunho will tell us if there is anything we can do to help.”
Dinner was surprisingly uneventful. When Yunho and Kangin emerged from the room about an hour later, Changmin could sense that something was weighing heavily on the Alpha’s mind. The rest of the pack seemed to have noticed it too, but they decided to not question Yunho about it.
‘He’ll tell us if it’s important, right?’ Changmin consulted Wolf. He had decided to lie alone in the grass patch to watch the stars after dinner.
Wolf huffed. ‘Yunho is not like you. Trust your Alpha.’ Changmin scowled indignantly.
‘Besides, shouldn’t you go solve your own problems?’ Wolf sniffed the air. ‘I’m sure Siwon is home already.’
Sighing, Changmin ran his fingers through his hair. He knew it was silly to think this way, but he could not shake the nagging feeling of insecurity. Despite Yunho and Jaejoong reassuring him, he couldn’t help but worry about how others outside of his pack will see him once they know about this.
Cliffhanger! What do you think will happen between Siwon and Changmin? 🙂
Sidenote: Siwon was actually my very first bias when I first got into kpop! Super Junior was the band that got me sucked into this world and I used to really really like Siwon back in the Sorry Sorry era 🙂 I feel so old sigh
P.S. If any of you still read TVXQ/DBSK fanfics, please tell me! I feel like the number of Cassies is getting smaller and smaller and tbh, I feel very unmotivated to continue this story since not many people still like TVXQ. But they are having a comeback soon!!! So exciting!!
P.P.S. Don’t worry, updates might be slow, but I will try my very very best to not give this story up halfway k? 🙂 Cos I am an avid fanfic reader too; I understand how it feels when an author gives up on his/her work halfway. I just hope that I won’t disappoint too many people with what I have. >.<
